The Bezigon Tool

If you struggle using the pen tool, the bezigon tool is a great answer for you. Instead of having to determine how far to pull the bezier handles, the bezigon tool automatically guess at the amount of curve you want to apply.
To use the bezigon tool you need to click the mouse to create straight lines. To create the curve, alt-click in the middle of where you want the curve to be placed. Look at the right and notice that only one alt-click is need to make this shape. Note that when you first alt-click you will not see the curve. It will still look like a straight line. Not until you make the click following the alt-click will you see the curve.
To end or close this particular shape, move the cursor back to the starting point. Once the cursor is over the point (or node), you will see the cursor change from a plus sign to a plus sign with a black rectangle in the bottom right corner. This indicates that you are about to close the shape.
Close the shape. Now if you want to increase or decrease the amount of curve, use the pointer tool and click on the top point (node). The bezier handles will appear and you will be able to drag and reposition this point.
