Late Work Policy

   We hate to penalize any student for turning in work late. If you can't make the deadline, you will still learn a great deal by completing the assignment. However, in a real work environment, you may lose clients (or even your job) by not making deadlines. In addition, a late work penalty may motivate you to get the work done and prevent you from getting into such a hole that you cannot complete the class assignments at the expected level.
   Assignment due dates are listed under the schedule section of this site. Assignments will actually be graded on the following Tuesday and as long as everything gets posted by Tuesday morning at 10:00 am, no penalty will be assessed. If you have any trouble posting your assignment, you should bring it to the Monday evening class and ask for help getting it online.
   Assignments that are not posted by 10:00 am on Tuesday will be assessed a 10% penalty for the first day and 2% for each day after the first day.
   If you have some unusual circumstances that cause your assignment to be late, please e-mail us. We will extend you extra time if needed for problems with your regular job, illness, or family emergencies.
